Lucy was taken from a nest north east of Nome Alaska about 45 miles. The nest is off a extreemly difficult location to land a Super-Cub. It was a one way downhill landing with no go around. The nest was a walk in that has been used by gyr falcons forever. It has the largest stick structure I have ever seen for a falcon nest. Amazing it has not been pillaged by brown bears or wolverines as the access is a walk in.  I have checked this nest site in the years after and it remains active, however I will not be returning to this site as the landing zone is way too risky even with the best Super-Cub and Alaska bush experianced pilot. Lucy started laying in 2023 and is an agressive bird. If a wild bird decides to try and eat quail parts threw the bars of her chamber they will eventually end up inside in pieces. She is a good breeder in season but out of season she can be agressive. This I believe was the way she was raised and I take full resposibility for her attitude.
