Aleutian was taken from a nest in 2011 and as her name suggests very far out on the Alutian Island of Adak in Alaska. This is an extreemly harsh enviroment for all  the animals that live on the Aleutian chain. Birds have adampted to this abusive climate acordingly. Sparrows from the Alutian chain are robin size.  The largest of all Peregrine falcons in the world are Peales and the largest of these birds come from the Aleutian Chain. The Peales from Prince William Sound are smaller and way easier going in comparison to the Peales that come off the Alutian chain. Aleutian was hard imprinted and flown as a falconry bird for years mainly flown from the fist on geese. She is thick, stout and strong but with a personality of a real sweetheart. She has been laying since 2020. The avalabilty of Alutian gyrs for breeding is non existant. She is the only gyr falcon I know of from the chain in any breeding program in the world. The genetic diversit of Gyr Falcons from the  Aleutian chain is unavalable anywhere except here through this bird.
